The call
to fast is the trumpet call for all believers. When Jesus spoke of fasting He specifically said, "When you fast" not "if you fast" (reference Matthew
6:16-18).He also declared when that
time would come that His people would fast: "The
time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they
will fast" (reference
Matthew 9:15).That time is
now.Our beloved Bridegroom has gone
to prepare a place for us in heaven and will return for His Bride just
as He has promised (reference John 14:2-4).His desire is to return to find His Bride purified,
prepared and ready with oil in their lamps radiating His light and
reflecting His glory as they anxiously await the arrival of their
faithful Bridegroom (reference Matthew
25:1-13)
True fasting, as outlined in the Book of Isaiah, Chapter 58,
describes the preparation God desires of His people. Fasting
is not to be a religious ritual to gain the applause of man or an
attempt to simply gain God's attention and move His hand (reference
Isaiah 29:13-14). On the contrary, fasting is a means by which we
express true worship for God and are enabled to experience the deep
abiding intimacy He desires of all His children. The same
trumpet call that was issued by the prophet Joel is being sounded today,
calling the children of God to weep, mourn, and repent over their lack
of devotion towards God. The Lord desires whole-hearted
devotion - He wants all of us - nothing less (reference Matthew 22:37)!
He desires (and deserves!) genuine devotion, full surrender, heartfelt
adoration, and total reverence. True fasting puts us in a
position to hear the voice of God, experience the heart of God, and be
moved to do the work of God. Only a willingness to be
separated from world and consecrated to God will accomplish this.
The heart of this ministry is to provide the spiritual
nourishment necessary as you submit to your own personal time of
consecration with the Lord. These devotional journeys are
written in a day-by-day and meal-by-meal format to help guide you into a
disciplined lifestyle of full dependence upon the Lord through His Holy
Word and prayer (reference Deuteronomy 8:2-3).

Feasting on the Word of God and being devoted to prayer are essential elements to a fast of any length. A 40 day prayer and fasting journey to the Mountain of God
"Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life." (Proverbs 4:23)
The second in a series of 40-day fasting journeys, this is a vital and necessary next step to experience a life of full devotion with the Lord. Having our hearts opened and laid bare during our first 40 days we must be careful to learn to guard our heart and allow God to continue His refining process as He transforms us into a useful vessel to be poured out as a drink offering on a dry and weary land.

A 40 day prayer and fasting journey to the Throne of Grace
"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, And all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33)
The third in a series of 40-day fasting journeys, this journey invites us to journey with Jesus as He walks with His disciples during those important 40 days between His resurrection and ascension. This is a journey for all true followers of Jesus Christ as He prepares us to trust, wait and believe in His promised coming and our present calling as commissioned ministers of the gospel of grace to a lost and dying world.
**Note: following this journey we continued our journey with the 10-day

40 days of Prayer -
Following the Path of Perfect
Love
"Let no debt remain
outstanding except the
continuing
debt to love one
another..." (Romans
13:8)
The fourth in a series of 40-day prayer
and fasting journeys, this journey focuses on
the high and holy calling of prayer in the life of the
believer.There is no
greater expression of love than the willingness
to lay down one's life in prayer for another
as Jesus so eloquently illustrated for us in His life on this
earth.There is
no greater work, and no greater deficit in the
church, nor more difficult position to fill in
all of God's kingdom, than to find faithful followers who are willing to
stand in the gap and answer the call to pray.

CRUCIFIED - Called to Christ A 40 day prayer and fasting journey - Revealing the Wisdom and Power of God.
"For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified." - 1 Corinthians 2:2)
The fifth in a series of meal-by-meal prayer and fasting journeys, CRUCIFIED, reveals the person and work of Jesus Christ and His utmost desire for our lives - to know Him. We have been called, not to a cause, but to a person - Jesus Christ, and like the apostle Paul our highest pursuit should be to proclaim nothing else but Christ and Him Crucified. Journey back to the place it all began and experience the power and wisdom of God in the message of the cross.

We have been given a Sacred Trust as the children of God to "Consecrate [our]selves and be holy, because [He] is holy" (Leviticus 11:44). This 10-day (Daniel-fast) journey issues a trumpet wake-up call and warning to the Church and challenges believers, through a time of testing and recommitment, to address the sin that has paralyzed the Church, poisoned our prayer life, and rendered us ineffective in impacting the world for the glory of God.

"...Be holy, because I am holy." (Leviticus
11:44,45)
The Lord calls us to be holy
because He is holy.In this 8-day
prayer and fasting devotional journey we will
enter the Most Holy Place and experience what it
means to be set apart and "Holy Unto the
Lord." We have been called to be a
kingdom of priests, for we are the temple of
the Lord in which His presence dwells and
through which He reveals Himself to the
world.It is time we
recognize the privileged position we have been
granted and live the life of holiness He
demands of His chosen saints.
